Tacloban City [November, 2008] – Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez will lead today, November 14, the inauguration of the multi-million Balyuan Park Amphitheater.

This was according to Sangyaw Foundation President Alex Montejo, who also disclosed that the said occasion would include the launching of the foundation’s programs and projects, and the awarding of Taclobanons who have distinguished themselves in the field of Arts.

City Comelec now preparing for plebiscite on Taclobans HUC-hood Sunday, Nov 9 2008

Tacloban City [October, 2008] — While there is no definite schedule yet for the holding of the plebiscite on the bid of this city to become a highly urbanized city, the Commission on Elections is now busy preparing for the said poll exercise.

Susan Collamar, city elections officer, said that as part of their preparations on the possible holding of a plebiscite in the city, the list of registered voters are now being prepared by them.
